HALIBUT FISH SANDWICH CIOPPINO (El Pescador- La Jolla)

• I would love every other fish market in existence to take notes from El Pescador. It’s simple and done right. The focus is fresh seafood first, and they’ve been in business for over 40 years.

• This fish sandwich is a classily dressed lil lady. She’s on sourdough w thousand island dressing, tomato, green onion. Halibut sammies are in my top 10 favorite foods, but get whatever fish floats your boat.

The Cioppino is the perfect pairing. Split the sammy and soup w a lucky pal to save room for the Sea Scallop Carpaccio (Japanese Hokkaido Scallops w olive oil, cilantro, sea salt, lime zest). I could shed a tear just thinking of it.
